Pre- & post-care instructions

We’re all about getting you the best results—safely. That’s why it’s so important that you come to your appointments fully prepared and follow all pre- and post-care instructions closely.

Please take the time to review this checklist in preparation for your appointment: 

• Avoid anti-inflammatory medications 3-4 days prior (e.g., advil)  
• Avoid skincare actives or topical irritants in the treatment area 5-7 days prior (e.g., physical scrubs, chemical exfoliants, vitamin C)
• Avoid use of retinoids in the treatment area 1 week prior
• Avoid sun exposure 2-4 weeks prior (cannot be sunburnt or excessively tanned)
• Do not use any self tanning products 2-3 weeks prior (ensure it is fully removed in treatment area before appointment) 
• No antibiotics (or other contraindicating medications) 2 weeks prior 

• No immunizations/vaccines 2 weeks prior
• No procedures or cosmetic treatments 2 weeks prior (e.g., injectables, tattoos, microneedling, etc.)

• Avoid hot environments for 24 hours (hot tubs, hot showers, saunas, etc.)
• Avoid intense exercise for 24 hours 
• Use post procedure skin care as directed for 5-7 days post treatment 
• Avoid direct sun exposure for 24-48 hours. Apply (and re-apply!) sunscreen diligently every day 
• No antibiotics (or other contraindicating medications) 2 weeks
• No procedures or cosmetic treatments 2 weeks prior (e.g., injectables, tattoos, microneedling, etc.) 
• Avoid applying makeup for 24 hours post treatment 
• Darkening of pigmented spots is normal and will improve over the next 1-2 weeks. DO NOT pick at them
