Are You Ready?

Your To-Do List:

We’re all about getting you the best results—safely. That’s why it’s so important that you come to your appointments fully prepared and follow all pre- and post-care instructions closely.

Please take the time to review this checklist in preparation for your appointment:

PRE-TREATMENT CARE:

  • Avoid anti-inflammatory medications 3-4 days prior (e.g., advil)
  • Avoid skincare actives or topical irritants in the treatment area 2-3 days prior (e.g., physical scrubs, chemical exfoliants, vitamin C)
  • Avoid use of retinoids in the treatment area 1 week prior
  • Avoid sun exposure in the treatment area 1 week prior (cannot be sunburnt or excessively tanned)
  • Do not use any self tanning products 2-3 weeks prior (ensure it is fully removed in treatment area before appointment)
  • No antibiotics (or other contraindicating medications) 2 weeks prior
  • No procedures or cosmetic treatments 2 weeks prior (e.g., injectables, tattoos, microneedling, etc.)

POST-TREATMENT CARE:

  • Tattoo will be covered with vaseline and a sterile dressing immediately after your treatment. Please change this dressing once a day: Clean tattoo with warm water and fragrance-free gentle cleanser, allow to dry, and apply a thin layer of vaseline and cover with clean dressing
  • Keep tattoo clean and covered while healing to avoid rubbing on clothing
  • Do not pick! Blistering is normal and will heal within 1-2 weeks
  • Tattoo ink may temporarily darken immediately post treatment. This is normal and the tattoo will continue to fade with repeated treatments
  • Avoid swimming pools, saunas, hot tubs, hot yoga etc. until tattoo is fully healed
  • Avoid lotions, soaps, makeup, and scented products on treated area until fully healed
  • Avoid hot environments and intense exercise for 24 hours (hot tubs, hot showers, saunas, etc.)
  • Avoid direct sun exposure in the treatment area for 24-48 hours
  • No antibiotics (or other contraindicating medications) 2 weeks post
  • No procedures or cosmetic treatments 2 weeks post (e.g., injectables, tattoos, microneedling, etc.)
